Not by Might, Not by Power, but By Your Spirit.

Sunday Psalm 1.14.24
Father God
Lord Jesus
Holy Spirit

We present ourselves before You again this Sunday.
It’s so cold today.
We’re only here because You
Gave us the grace
And the warm clothes.

We resist hard things, Lord.
And so much of life is hard.
You said in Zechariah: not by might,
Not by power, but by your Spirit.

We arise by your Spirit.
We pray by your Spirit.
We gather in the power of your Spirit.
We call on You, again, to motivate
Our worship today, alone or together.

Show us your face, both
The baby face of Jesus the human
And the blazing face of the Jesus of
Revelation, returning in power and judgment.

Refresh our spirits with your Holy Spirit.
The more destruction we see, the more
We cling to You, Lord Jesus.
There is no other name nor any other hope.

Like every generation since your resurrection,
We await your return to restore your creation.
You are Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer
And You will make all things new.

We will never give up our allegiance to You, alone.
There’s always more to submit to your Spirit.
And the best is yet to be, gathered to your bosom.
Amen.
