Your prayer poem touches on something that is stirring my heart: What is human flourishing? You answer by quoting Jesus: "We are made not to live just on bread ... but on every Word You speak ... And we are hungry for a fresh Word."
Yes!
In this world we keeping thinking "If I just had 'this' [bread, water, TV, car, house, spouse...], then I'd be happy." But Jesus says, "This is eternal life, knowing Me."
You go on to remind us that He is our bread, and He is our Life and the source of our movement, and Being, and protection, and Savior.
Yes, eternal life is knowing him. Not just the length but the quality. Thanks so much for your comment. If you have more thoughts about human flourishing, feel free to send me a note on email. Always enjoy hearing your thoughts. Blessings on your day.
Hi Karen,
Your prayer poem touches on something that is stirring my heart: What is human flourishing? You answer by quoting Jesus: "We are made not to live just on bread ... but on every Word You speak ... And we are hungry for a fresh Word."
Yes!

You go on to remind us that He is our bread, and He is our Life and the source of our movement, and Being, and protection, and Savior.
So, yes Lord, we turn to You for everything.
THANK YOU Karen!
