Father God Lord Jesus Holy Spirit We present ourselves before You again this Sunday. Some of us had hard medical Appointments this week. Some enjoyed pleasant days in the Unseasonable warmth. Some are putting one foot in front of The other, moving as well as we can. You sat with us at the clinic. You smiled at us as we walked in the sunshine. You hold our hand as we plod along. In all our circumstances, You are present. You reveal Yourself differently as You Walk us through every situation. In our challenges, You show Yourself sufficient. In our pleasures, You show Yourself Giver of good. In our plodding, You show Yourself sustainer. In the moment, we often don’t perceive Your presence, but You are always present. You promised You would be with us until The end of the age and You keep Your promises. Lord Jesus, give us an image, right now, Of Your presence. We want to be aware of You, Every minute, as we walk out our lives. We will never give up looking for You. There’s always more to behold. And the best is yet to be, when We will see You as You are. Amen.
Hi Karen,
Once again, hard-hitting, and ever-so-tender. (Wait a minute ... that's the gospel! :-) )
I too had a difficult medical appointment, only it wasn't mine; I was helping my 98-year-old mother. And the appointment itself was actually fine, it was the flurry of an angry sibling who is angry that I scheduled an MRI for my mom (to see if she has a concussion). The sibling thinks all MRI are "highly risky" and should only be done when all other avenues are exhausted.
So I'm dealing with a difficult sibling who is questioning how I help my mom. (She lives hours away and cannot help my mom.) And ... I'm frustrated.
You remind me that He is with me ... when I'm frustrated. And He is always up to something good, and perhaps my very frustration is the area He wants to purify.
