Father God Lord Jesus Holy Spirit We present ourselves before You again this Sunday. We gather for this hour out of our week To declare your glory To refresh our hope To practice caring for each other. Whether our faith is mustard seed sized Or a sheltering tree, we assemble ourselves Together to remember. Here, we speak of your promise to restore. Your promise to redeem. Your encouragement to keep the faith And finish our race. We are so accustomed to loss in our everyday lives That we need to be reminded of your coming Kingdom where You will wipe away every tear. Your finger on our cheeks, drying the grief Of life in this broken world. You, Jesus, were a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. You know our daily existence, even when it’s good, Is hemmed in with loss. You also know what You are making ready. Eye hath not seen nor ear heard, all You Have prepared for those who love You. In this grief filled world, we need to remind Each other of Your glorious promises. And so we do. And we will never give up Reminding each other. There’s always more to speak of And the best is yet to be, when we will Enjoy every promise fulfilled. Amen. Unsplash Photos
