You, Jesus, are in Charge

Sunday Psalm 7.7.24

Father God
Lord Jesus
Holy Spirit

We present ourselves before You again this Sunday.
You’ve proven yourself to us.
You’ve given us enough evidence, 
In history, in personal experience,
And in your word, for us to trust your goodness.

You are for us and nothing will stand against us.
You are personally involved in our daily lives.
You have been faithful to grow us up.

And, Jesus, You are Lord. 
Not only of our individual lives, but
Of the whole world and every leader.
Lord of every king.
Lord over every human authority.

You are in charge. 
And your purposes will stand.
We live in tumultuous times, but
We rest in your power and your love.

You promise that yet once more, You 
Will shake not only the earth, but
Also the heavens.
But as much shaking as we might be 
Called upon to endure, 
We are bound to the rock 
Of your solid kingdom, Jesus.

We await the consummation of your rule and reign.

We will never give up waiting for You.
There’s always more to seek.
And the best is yet to be: Your Kingdom arrived,
On earth as it is in heaven.
