Father God Lord Jesus Holy Spirit We present ourselves to You again this Sunday. We present ourselves because You have presented Yourself to us. Engrossed in everyday particularities, We come today to remember The surrounding context. We didn’t start this. We didn’t initiate our own lives Much less the earth or the universe. Nor did we create the green grass Or the blue sky or the air we depend on. In what You have created, we discern Your nature and character. We feel your power in spring thunderstorms. We know your kindness as we enjoy good food. We often take your creation for granted. But there is no reason flowers should be Beautiful to our eyes, Nor food tasty on our tongues, Nor cashmere soft to our fingers, Nor music soothing to our ears and hearts. Increase our gratitude, please. Open our eyes to all You have provided. We always want more. Give us grace to thank You for what we have. We will never give up pursuing your perspective. We always need to see as You see. And the best is yet to be, when we will Encounter You with new eyes, ears, and hearts. Amen.
