Father God Lord Jesus Holy Spirit We present ourselves before You again this Sunday. Father, in January, some of us ask ourselves And You questions to shape the new year. What do we hope to accomplish this year? What do You have in mind for this season? How can we be more faithful to You? Who do we need to forgive? What do we need to grieve? What burdens are we carrying That we could release to You? How do You want to grow us? What projects should we give time and money to? What changes would shift us to A more adventurous walk with You? Or a more restful path. Others are coasting along, content With what we’ve done last year and Presuming 2025 will be more of the same. But this year could be very different. None of us knows how close we are to Your age to come. We speculate. We mourn the human costs of the crises of Wildfires, earthquakes, and floods, and We wonder what this year will bring and we even Wonder if those disasters portend the actual end of this age. Regardless, we will never give up seeking You in our time. There are always more questions to ask. And the best is yet to be, when the yearly questions Are all settled and the true adventure begins. Amen.
