Sunday Psalm 2.9.25

Father God 
Lord Jesus
Holy Spirit

We present ourselves before You again this Sunday.
We come to be still and 
To affirm again that You, alone, are God.
To exalt your supremacy above 
All who exalt themselves.

We want to let our roots go down deep
Into the soil of your love.
To find our foundation in your care for us.
To remember that in You
We live and move and have our being.

We come to listen to your word.
To notice the ways You work.
To rejoice that You are at work.

However we encounter You,
We will not exhaust your truth, beauty, and goodness.

And yet, we confess our fears.
You know our particular anxieties.
We don’t want to be afraid.
We want to trust You beyond any fear
Because to fear is to be unperfected in love.
We want to be so embedded in You that 
We can live fearlessly. 

Root us a bit deeper in You today.
Let us find our nourishment in your love and power.

We will never give up grounding ourselves in You.
There’s always more of your goodness to experience.
And the best is yet to be,
When lies, ugliness, and evil will be vanquished
And You will be our sustenance forever. 
Amen.
