Our Father Will Finish What He Has Started

Sunday Psalm 5.26.24

Father God 
Lord Jesus
Holy Spirit

We present ourselves before You again this Sunday.
We come, once again, with nothing in our hands.
You bid us come to You,
Just as we are, in humility and emptiness.

Nobody boasts before You, now or ever.
You don’t invite us because we 
Bring so much to the table.

You invite us because we are each 
Your special creation, made like You.
Made to be Your children, if we 
Will receive your Spirit and your discipline.

You are our Father.
You are shaping us into persons
Who can walk with You with 
Pure hearts and clean hands.

When we became your children,
You committed Yourself to father
Us into holiness and
You will finish what You have started.

We turn towards You again, remembering
Your promises:
If we confess our sins, You are 
Faithful and just to forgive us our sins and 
Cleanse us of all unrighteousness.
You will make us into the image of Jesus.
Because You live, we will live.

We will never give up turning toward You.
There’s always more holiness to nurture.
And the best is yet to be, our emptiness  
Filled with You, family forever.
