Father God Lord Jesus Holy Spirit We present ourselves before You again this Sunday. We remember your entry into Jerusalem On a donkey’s colt, demonstrating your Humility and serenity and Fulfilling yet another Old Testament scripture. The onlookers rejoiced in your miracles And spread their cloaks on the road, Welcoming You like a conquering King, Which You were, more than they knew. They could not have guessed, though You knew, That within a few days the cultural vibe Would shift. But on this day, they saw your beauty, Worthy of honor and glory. We have come today because we have Glimpsed your splendor. We know the beauty of compassion And grace and imputed righteousness. We confess, though, that we still sometimes Question You, blaming You For how hard our lives are. Again, we want to confess our unbelief. Only by your power will we trust You implicitly. Help us cling to You and look for Your sustaining presence among the ruins of our lives. We will never give up welcoming You. There’s always more blessing to receive. And we look forward to beauty fully restored, Embedded in truth and goodness forever. Amen.
