Father God Lord Jesus Holy Spirit We present ourselves before You again this Sunday. In this season, we celebrate your angels Announcing your birth, Jesus, Heralding glad tidings of great joy. Four hundred years since the Jewish Testament was finished. Several lifetimes of waiting. But on one dark night, to a few men tending sheep, Your light finally appeared. The shepherds didn’t question that they Were real angels. They didn’t dispute among themselves About the message. In joy, they ran to find You. Because it is your advent as small child That introduces the possibility of joy. Your birth is momentously joyful Because You initiated the beginning of the Beginning again. You arrived as the second Adam to begin A new order, joyful at the heart. The joy that is rooted in the end, where “All will be well, all will be well, All manner of thing will be well.” Refresh our joy, Lord Jesus. Refocus us on the consummation Of what You began in Bethlehem. And we will never give up asking for your joy. There’s always more depth, spilling backward From the eternal joy still to come. Amen.
Amen aunt Karen!
