Father God Lord Jesus Holy Spirit We present ourselves before You again this Sunday. Transcending our everyday realities, You have called us. Beyond our sleeping, eating, walking around life, Beyond our habits of thinking, Of pursuing challenge and comfort, You have displayed Yourself to us. In our confusion, You bring clarity. In our physical pain, You carry us. In our despair, You are our hope. You, Jesus, have penetrated Our everyday pursuits with your truth. You know both what we struggle with And what is worth struggling for. You empower us to seek the best: To worship. To pray. To serve. In this hard and glorious life, we Get distracted from what’s worthwhile. We peel off the path, turning aside To our own pursuits and pleasures. We come this morning to remind ourselves That your truth underlies all. That our struggle is not against each other But against the enemy of our souls. We will never give up pursuing your purposes. There’s always more to grasp. And the best is yet to be, when You call us home to your eternal peace. Amen.
