Is the thought that comes into our head at just the right time from the Holy Spirit? Is He that close, that involved, that interested in our everyday lives? Jerry thought he’d left his raincoat at a friend’s Michigan cabin in July. Last Thursday morning, we remembered to ask our friend to check for the raincoat the next time he went up to the cabin. "Oh, I’m going up this morning.” And, yes, it was there. I wanted a sewing pattern for a piece of wool I’d recently purchased. Typically patterns cost $15-25 dollars, which I did not want to pay. Last week when I was leaving a meeting, I thought of going to the fabric store to see what they had available in stock. Not only did they have one that was adequate, that brand was on a four day sale for $2.99! Yes, I do think God is that present to us. I think He’s that involved. What are the implications of this level of interest? Maybe worth a thought. The Lord bless you and keep you all your days.

Karen, this one was really meaningful for me. I’ve been thinking about it a lot. Tonight I was leading a small group discussion on Tim Keller‘s book The Reason for God. We were discussing how we would talk with someone who didn’t have a relationship with God about the difference a relationship with God has in our life, I was talking about the direction and empowerment of the Holy Spirit and what a difference that makes. I shared your blog post as an example of how the Holy Spirit cares about all aspects of our life… as you wonderfully elucidated.
