Father God Lord Jesus Holy Spirit We present ourselves before You again this Sunday. We come to set our minds on You, Jesus. We come from our daily lives Of work and childcare and volunteering And reading and watching. We try to stay our hearts on You In the midst of those activities, but today, We gather to specifically seek You. You have convinced us that You are the One who was to come, The Jewish Messiah, long foretold, Come to save not just Abraham’s children, But everyone, Gentiles included. Thousands of years removed, We may not appreciate the profundity of Your mission to unite Jews and Gentiles into One body under your headship. Although, Americans, mostly immigrants, Do have some sense of the difficulty Of unity amidst diversity. We come to celebrate You today, Because You are the Prince of Peace Who alone has the power to bring into Cooperation, even love, such a disparate group. We will never give up pursuing your multicultural vision. There are always more people to receive. And the best is yet to be: the New Jerusalem, Where those of every people, tribe, and nation will Declare your glory forevermore. Amen.
