Father God Lord Jesus Holy Spirit We present ourselves before You again this Sunday. Each of us operates from a particular point of view. Some of us look out on life and people Expecting to see only goodness. Others see only despair and coming catastrophe Expecting people to be cunning and devious. Most of us expect a mix. We come today to let our points of view be Adjusted by your point of view— By your clarity of vision, shaped by your holiness. Because your viewpoint is of eternal value. In the end, only how You see matters. And what You see, You evaluate. No one gets special favor. We reap what we sow. Although, if we are embedded in You, Jesus, The judgement due us has already fallen on You. And yet, we’re called to holiness, Without which no one will see You. Only in the exchange of our death For your life, in the power of your Spirit, Can we obey You. We want to honor and worship You. Not money, sex, or power. Come, Holy Spirit, empower us for holiness. We will never give up relying on your power. There’s always more power and love available. And the best is yet to be, when what we See in your presence will be pure goodness. Amen.

Thanks Karen,
I like so many things about your poem, but three things stand out.
First your line, "In the end, only how You see matters." It speaks so clearly of the absolute priority and perfection of the One and only's truth. And how we need His Life in ours for hope and beauty.
And secondly, "The judgement due us has already fallen on You." I love how you come back (over and over in your poetry) to the cross. It begins and ends there.
And last, your entire closing stanza: how only in our death and life in His Life will we ever grow into holiness. In the fall, we corrupted the image of God in us; in redemption, that image is slowly recovered into true His Life in us.
Thanks
