Father God Lord Jesus Holy Spirit We present ourselves before You again this Sunday. You are an awesome God. We will have no other gods before You. You alone are worthy of our lives. You balance mercy and justice perfectly. Your cross, Jesus, displays both. You endure the justice we deserve. You supply the mercy we don’t deserve. We confess, again, That we bend towards rebellion. We doubt Your commands are For our good, always. By your power, Lord, we come today To respond to your call to heart felt holiness That only You can produce in us. More, Lord. Give us more desire For the holiness without which No one will see You. Help us endure our hardships as discipline. Show us the pockets of sin— Bondages where You want to give freedom. We need your power to release our resentments. We need your power to stop the addictions. We need your power to give You our whole hearts. We will always need your power at work in us. There’s always more to confess. And the best will be the eternal community, When we will overflow with love, joy, peace, Patience, kindness, goodness, Faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Amen.

Your words in prayer spoke deeply to me. Enduring hardships as discipline indeed. Most often we not only want but expect an easy life. Thank you again for your God-given, powerful words.
Yes, we desperately need more of His power at work in us… daily.
Thank you for this beautiful heartfelt prayer Karen.
