Father God Lord Jesus Holy Spirit We present ourselves before You again this Sunday. We are those who You have called Out of darkness into your magnificent light. We gather today to let your light Reveal who we are, both the resistance And the obedience. Some of us don’t see so much of the world’s Darkness, but some of us live close to Those who live in darkness. Provide for and protect each one of us, please. We need You in this hard world. Send your light to refresh us, like Sunlight after rain. Let us see the light of your face. The light of your face strengthens our courage. Your smile means more than the world. We count on your steadfast attention toward us. We trust You are always aware of Who we are and what we need. And You are committed to our sanctification. With our cooperation, You will heal what needs Healing and strengthen what needs strengthening. Thank You for your work in our lives. We will never give up coming to your light. There’s always more intensity. And the best is yet to be, When we will live completely and forever By the light of your face. Amen.

Hi Karen,
I appreciate your commitment to truth as our hope (and our hope in the truth). You constantly (and beautifully) encourage us, giving hope ("never give up," and "the best is yet to be"); and yet your encouragement is not mere enthusiasm but truth.
Today you ask God to reveal our "resistance" and our "obedience." Like so many spiritual truth, you cling to the seeming paradoxes without compromise. Tim Keller used to say, "we are more wicked than we dare admit AND we are more loved than we dare dream." Both at the same time. You do that all the time, and I value it (and you) ever-so-much.
Thanks again,
Sam
